Malcolm Thane – Certificate Prosthetist (CP)

Malcolm has worked in the field of Prosthetics since leaving school in the mid 1970s.

Initially training as a Technician in all aspects of Prosthetic manufacture. He moved to the clinical side of Prosthetics, qualifying in April 1981 after training at London and Manchester in the UK.

Malcolm ThaneAlthough he moved into Management early in his career, his posts have been clinically focused including roles as Principal Prosthetist and Clinical Advisor to sales  and marketing divisions of component manufactures.  

During the 1990s he provided the Prosthetic Service to the Isle of Man Government before returning to the UK  NHS Service, heading up the team at one of the largest Centres in Europe from 2001.  
During this period, his expertise was also called upon by TV and film Producers to look after the well being  of  amputees on set and advise on authenticity  within their productions.

Malcolm also has extensive experience of providing Expert Witness Services for the Court, acting on instructions from Claimant, Defendant as well as Joint Instructions.

Moving to Cyprus in January 2008 after three years of research, Malcolm now aims to provide a quality Prosthetic  Service on the Island to amputees either new or established,  based on Best Practice Guide Lines.
